Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas' daughter Stella has revealed that her parents are still very close to each other by sharing a sweet photo of the pair on social media. The couple, who finalised their divorce last year after an 18-year marriage, were snapped lounging on a sofa while spending some time together as a family.
In the snap, which Stella simply captioned "Fam," Antonio seems to be showing Melanie something on his phone, which she leans over to look at. The pair looked very comfortable in each other's company, and fans of the stars have been quick to praise their friendship post divorce. One wrote: "This a lesson for everybody!" while another wrote: "An awesome family."
The couple's daughter Stella shared the snap
Melanie shared her daughter's post to her own Instagram account, writing: "Mom and Papi #proudmamaandpapa."
The pair split in 2014, and issued a joining statement claiming they were ending their marriage in a "loving and friendly" manner. The statement read: "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalise our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honouring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together - Melanie & Antonio."
The couple have remained friends following their divorce
The couple have previously made it clear that they intended to stay friends following their divorce, and Melanie posted a throwback photo of the Puss in Boots actor with their daughter six months after their break-up, writing: "Ruggedly handsome Antonio and beautiful Stella del Carmen 1997."
The couple also joined together last year to celebrate Stella's graduation day, and the three posed together in a snap that Melanie captioned: "Mama, Stella and Papi. Our angel is amazing. Beginning the next chapter of her life! Freedom!!" Melanie also shared a photo of Antonio and Stella, writing: "Father and daughter celebrating at Bacclaureate luncheon! So sweet."
