Missing Foyle's War actress Honeysuckle Weeks found safe

Honeysuckles Weeks has been found safe and well after being reported missing on Thursday, sparking a hunt for the actress. Honeysuckle's sister tweeted to confirm that the Foyle's War star had been found.

The 36-year-old disappeared from Chichester on Thursday, causing concern for her friends and family who revealed that the actress, who plays Samantha Stewart in the ITV drama series, had been feeling "anxious" over the last few weeks. At the time, Detective Kate Witt released a statement which read: "We are concerned about Honeysuckle as her recent behaviour has concerned family and friends and she has expressed to them she is feeling anxious.

Honeysuckle was found safe and well after going missing on Thursday

"Although she travels around a lot and has links in London and has family in Wiltshire, it is unlike her not to be in touch with family. If you read this Honeysuckle, please get in touch to let us know you are ok."

Sussex Police confirmed that Honeysuckle had been found after her relative got in touch to let them know she was safe, tweeting: "We can confirm missing #Petworth woman Honeysuckle Weeks has been found safe and well, and is with police. Further updates to follow."

The actress is best known for her role as Samantha Stewart in Foyle's War

In the follow-up statement, they said: "Honeysuckle was found safe and well at a relative's address in London at about 7.45pm on Friday (29 July). Her relative contacted police to notify them of her appearance. She remained with police as of 10.45pm on Friday (29 July), prior to being returned to West Sussex.

"We're very grateful to everyone who expressed their concern for Honeysuckle and assisted in our appeal to help find her."

Honeysuckle's sister Perdita then tweeted: "Safe and sound thank you all xxxx," in response to worried fans asking after the actress.
