Simon Cowell has hinted that Cheryl and Liam Payne might be ready to start a family. The X Factor judge revealed that the couple were in a "good place," and opened up about the possibility of children in their future.
Simon responded to the Mirror reports that Cheryl and Liam might be trying for their first child, saying: "I guess that is what happens when you are with someone."
Cheryl and Liam have been publicly dating since May
He continued: "Cheryl would be an amazing mum. I have seen her with my son Eric and other kids over the years and she is incredible. She is very good with them. I think she is in a good place in her life right now. I had dinner with her a couple of months ago with Liam and they were great."
The couple, who made their official red carpet debut as a couple at the Global Gift Gala in Paris back in May, have seemed smitten with each other over the past few months, and even adopted a puppy together in July. The Fight for this Love singer shared a snap of the puppy stood on Liam's chest, writing: "Our new family member he is beyond cute. The dog is adorable too."
Simon has previously chatted about their blossoming relationship, telling The Sun: "I saw them together and we had a really nice dinner. They were on good form. They're like two little chipmunks madly in love. Literally they were so cute."
Sources say Cheryl is a "totally different person" with Liam
An insider source also opened up to Heat magazine about how Cheryl's relationship with Liam had transformed her after splitting with her husband Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini after 18-months of marriage. They said: "Everyone is amazed at the difference in Cheryl - she's a totally different person now she's with Liam.
"Last year she was going through a lot of personal stuff and she seemed in in such a dark place, so insecure and unhappy. Really exhausted, too, and very stressed. But now she's with Liam and has totally turned her life around."
