Flo Rida got the party started with a bang! The 36-year-old danced his way down the red carpet and into the arena while performing a medley of his biggest hits, including Good Feeling, Right Round and his new track Zillionaire.

Victoria Justice certainly knows how to make an entrance! The 23-year-old – who co-hosted the show with professional wrestler John Cena – arrived on one of the Teen Choice Awards' signature surfboards, held aloft by four strapping men.

Chris Evans won the first award of the night, as he was named Choice Movie Actor, Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Stood on stage holding his surfboard, the Captain America star told the crowd: "This means so much to me. I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel like a little bit of a mistake, but I'll take it!"

Chloe Moretz took home the best comedy actress award for her role in Neigbours 2 – and proudly cheering her on from the audience was boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham, who had his trusty camera in hand to capture her big moment.

It was a special night for British actress Daisy Ridley. The 24-year-old, who sparkled in a silver sequinned mini dress, took home the Breakout Star award for her role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

During her acceptance speech, Daisy gave a shoutout to her co-star John Boyega, who was also nominated. "It feels incredible to be in this category, with amazing people, especially my boy John!" she told the audience, with her new surfboard in hand.

Jennifer Garner was one of the big Hollywood names to attend the awards show, and was on hand to collect the Choice Drama Movie award for Miracles From Heaven, along with her young co-star Kiley Rogers. 

In the film, Jennifer took on the role of real-life mum Christy Beam, whose daughter is miraculously cured from a rare disease. 

"Thanks to everyone, we were definitely the underdog in this category," the star told the crowd. "That's so exciting. It's amazing to us the impact this movie was able to have." Before leaving the stage, she added: "All the kids who are in a hospital waiting for a miracle, don't give up hope."

Jessica Alba was moved to tears as she took to the stage with a group of teenagers who have all lost family members to gun violence. Following a powerful performance of Marvin Gaye's track What's Going On by Ne-Yo, she told the crowd: "These teens had the courage to come here with their grief and take a stand. Tonight, Ne-Yo and I and all of us here and all of you watching need to do the same."

Ne-Yo then asked the audience to stand up, take their phones out and take a photo of the group on stage, and to then post the picture on social media with the hashtag #StopTheViolence.

Having taken home an incredible 22 surfboards over the course of his career, Justin Timberlake got to add another, very special, award to his collection on Sunday – the first ever Teen Choice Decade Award. 

In his heartfelt speech, the 35-year-old told the teens audience: "Be generous, be kind, be fair. It's not just the right thing to do, it's a good thing to do," before telling them to "go out, do the impossible and become the greatest generation yet".

It was a big night for the cast of Pretty Little Liars – the hit TV show took home a whopping six surfboards in total, including the awards for Choice TV Drama, TV Drama Actor and Actress for Ian Harding and Ashley Benson, and TV Villain for Janel Parrish.

Jason Derulo ensured the night ended on a high with the final performance of the night. The 26-year-old sang a medley of his biggest hits and also treated the audience to a rendition of his brand new hit Kiss The Sky.
