This pop princess is joining James Corden for Carpool Karaoke and we couldn’t be more excited!

Countless stars from Justin Bieber to Adele have joined James Corden in the incredibly popular 'Carpool Karaoke' segment of his US chat show, The Late Late Show with James Corden. Now one of the most iconic popstars from the last decade – Britney Spears herself – has been reported to be the next star to take a trip with the show host, and fans are already anticipating what to expect from the singer.

A source revealed to People magazine that the I'm a Slave 4 U singer will be belting out tunes in the car in order to promote her new album, Glory, which is to be released 26 August this year.

Britney has been reported to be the next celebrity to join James Corden for Carpool Karaoke

The star has already thanked fans for their support of the upcoming album, tweeting: "Thank you all for loving & supporting #Glory. Available for download & streaming everywhere on 8/26. Can't wait for you all to hear it!"

Fans of the popstar have been delighted with the news, with one tweeting: "I'm very excited for this," while another wrote: "BRITNEY SPEARS IS NOT KIDDING THIS TIME AROUND. She will be on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden!"

The star's latest album, Glory, is being released later this month

The 34-year-old will be following the footsteps of Michelle Obama, who appeared on the segment back in July. During her trip, the First Lady opened up about teaching her daughter Malia how to drive, was sang along with some tunes after being joined by Missy Elliot. She said: "I rarely get to listen to music in my car. I've been in a car, maybe it was months ago with my daughter who learnt to drive.

"That's the only time in seven and a half years that I've been in the passenger seat listening to music, rocking out like this."
