Drew Barrymore showed her fans a glimpse of some of her most precious (and hilarious) memories after finding an assortment of old photos, drawings and schoolwork while clearing out an old storage unit.

The star shared the rediscovered tidbits from her childhood onto her Instagram account, which included several photos of herself as a child dressed in various costumes, a photo with Rashida, Kidada and Quincy Jones posing with E.T., and a sweet piece of writing from when she was eight-years-old, where she wrote: "my favourite things to do are acting and to take jazz," to which the Charlie's Angels actress captioned: "#stillfeelthesame."

She also shared a snap of her father, the late actor John Barrymore, writing: "A picture of my dad. What a beautiful moment."

Drew finally posted a photo of a garden filled with boxes, simply writing: "#Done." Fans of the actress were clearly enjoying the throwback photos, with one writing: "I am loving your old photos of memories.....it brings back childhood memories for me in that time era," while another wrote: "So cute brings back wonderful memories thanks Drew!"

Drew shared her thoughts on the brilliant photos

The 41-year-old seems to be in good spirits since finalising her divorce with husband of four years Will Kopelman in early August. The couple announced their separation in April this year, and have remained close following the split.

The pair, who shares daughters Olive, three and Frankie, two, released a joint statement to People following the break-up, saying: "Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family. Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on.
