Peter Andre shares sweet birthday message for pregnant wife Emily

They might have been thousands of miles apart, but Peter Andre had his wife Emily very much on his mind as she celebrated her 27th birthday on Tuesday. Pete, 43, is currently in Orlando on a summer holiday with his two children, Junior, 11, and nine-year-old Princess – but he took to Instagram to post a very sweet birthday message, along with a close-up photo of the happy couple together. "Happy Birthday Emily A. Love u," he wrote alongside.

Thoughtful Pete will no doubt ensure that his wife enjoys some belated birthday celebration upon his return from the States. Pregnant Emily was originally meant to go along on the family holiday, but had to stay at home because of fears she could contract the Zika virus.

"Unfortunately Emily couldn't come with us because CDC (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) issued a travel warning advising pregnant women not to travel to Florida as the Zika virus is actively circulating there," Peter recently revealed in his New! column.

"Although Ems was gutted, it worked out quite well as she doesn't like leaving Mills (the couple's two-year-old daughter Amelia), and they got to enjoy some quality time together."

While Pete and the children have been away, Emily has been overseeing the move into their new family home in East Grinstead, West Sussex – a mansion formerly owned by Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise.

Pete and Emily decided to relocate four months ahead of the arrival of their second child together. The couple, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary in July, announced their pregnancy in May, and the singer late confirmed that the baby is due to arrive sometime in December.

Pete has made no secret of the fact that he'd love to have more children with junior doctor Emily – but has said ultimately it will be her decision.

"I think the reason why a woman has the ultimate say is because she doesn't only carry that child for the first nine months, but for the first couple of years of that child's life it's always mum, mum, mum, mum, mum," he said, during an appearance on Loose Women in July.

"Dads do come into their own but with breastfeeding, with all the things, and now seeing it first hand with my wife when she's five months pregnant – she's holding – she can't even hold Amelia because Amelia's very tall, it becomes a struggle. So there's a lot that the mum has to endure that we don't."
