Ellie Goulding to release new song for Bridget Jones's Baby soundtrack

August 17, 2016

As if we weren't already overexcited about the upcoming release of Bridget Jones's Baby, Ellie Goulding has gone and made a song for it! The track will be released on Friday and Ellie is said to have already shot the video, featuring exclusive clips from the movie.

The eagerly awaited third installment of lovable Bridget's story won't hit UK cinemas until 16 September, but 29-year-old Ellie will tease fans in with Still Falling For You – which she previewed on her social media channels on Wednesday.

While the song is being kept firmly under wraps until Friday, it's been reported Still Falling For You is a "romantic ballad", which is in keeping with the themes of the movies.

It's not the first time Ellie has been involved in a movie's soundtrack; last year she provided hit song Love Me Like You Do for the hugely successful film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, and in 2014 she provided track Beating Heart for sci-fi flick Divergent.

She previously featured on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show earlier this year, Ellie confessed she still hadn't seen Fifty Shades of Grey despite her Golden Globe-nominated song.

She said: "Honestly I never in a million years thought I'd be nominated. It was a Golden Globe and two Grammys in the same week and that just all kind of hit me and it was the craziest week of my life, I'd been everywhere and so couldn't really be blown away. I was too tired to appreciate it, too much else going on, but now I'm like, 'Oh my God, it's insane and amazing!'"
