Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship has been going from strength to strength in recent months, and now it appears things are getting serious between the couple. Sources close to the actor have suggested that he is ready to take the next step in their relationship by proposing to Katy.
The couple, who were first linked at the Golden Globes in January, are "not engaged yet, but seem to be heading that way," a source exclusively told People.
Orlando Bloom reportedly wants to start a family with Katy Perry
Orlando, 39, appears to be head over heels for the Rise singer. He "always gushes about Katy and thinks she is amazing in a million ways," the source explained, adding: "He would love to settle down with Katy and have more kids. He hasn't been this serious about a girl since Miranda."
However it may be a while before the loved-up pair tie the knot, as Katy is said to be more cautious about marriage following her divorce from comedian Russell Brand.
"She's not going to rashly make a huge commitment like marriage again unless she thinks it's absolutely right," a friend of Katy's told People.
The couple have been dating since January
For now Orlando and Katy are happy with the way their relationship is going.
"They've been getting along really well. Katy gives him space, and they're both pretty independent," the source said. "They are serious about each other and their relationship."
Katy and Orlando have been dating since January, and have been seen enjoying a number of romantic getaways together, but it wasn't until May that they made their relationship official on social media.
The 31-year-old singer confirmed that she and Orlando were officially an item by sharing a photo of herself and Orlando lying on the stairs of a lavish hotel during Cannes Film Festival, adding the caption: "we cannes't."
