The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, draws the most American visitors to the UK, new figures have revealed. Prince William's wife topped a list of Brits US travellers would like to meet – and the royal draws don't end there!
Somewhat unsurprisingly Buckingham Palace is still at the top of tourists' lists of must-see attractions, followed by the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey. Following Kate and William's stunning wedding at the latter, it makes sense that her American fans want to see it in person.

Booking website Hotels.com conducted the research, and, as the country that produced the Spice Girls, it seems only fitting that the top five figures Americans most want to meet are women.
Kate comes in on top, closely followed by her grandmother-in-law the Queen, with Harry Potter author J.K Rowling, superstar Adele and actress Kate Winslet completing the list.

And, unexpectedly, US tourists on the hunt for the tastiest food this side of the pond have their sights set on Grimsby.
Senior PR manager Simon Matthews said: "The fact that some Americans want to visit Grimsby on their next trip proves they must be really savvy about where to get the best British grub, as we all know Grimsby is famous for its fish and chips! The rising interest from our American cousins is likely more to do with the strong dollar than our culinary delights, however it would be a welcome boost for the UK travel industry."
