Jason Kenny and Laura Trott were all smiles after he picked her up from Manchester airport following her return from the Rio Olympic Games having become Britain's most decorated female Olympian. The couple, who both made history at the Games, returned to the UK from the competition a day apart, giving Jason a chance to collect Laura from the airport while bringing their two dogs along to greet her.
Jason, who holds the record for most gold medals for a Team GB athlete with Chris Hoy, arrived in a black range rover and helped pack Laura's bags into the car before the couple headed back to their home in Lancashire.

Jason chatted about the couple's success in the Olympics, and how it was made that more special because they were there together. He said: "I'm proud to be part of the team's Olympic success and doing my bit. I'm obviously really proud of Laura. I'd have been proud of her even if she'd lost. I'm glad she won, it makes her happy.
"The best thing about is that we get to come away together and race together. Not many couples in the Olympic village can enjoy their success together. So that's really special and I feel really lucky about that."

Laura previously opened up to the Mail Online about how much she has been looking forward to enjoying a normal life following the Rio Olympic Games, saying: "I don’t want to think about cycling. I just want to be Laura because I miss out on a lot of things.
"I want to go ice skating but because we are athletes we can’t do that because if I twist my ankle it could be the end of my career. So I just want to be Laura and go out and be normal. I want to walk my days. I love my dogs and we’ve got a local pub and we have never walked to it. So we want to walk to it. Because now we can do. I don’t know how many Olympics I’ve got in me."
