Danny Dyer's daughter has posted an emotional statement online defending her "sensitive, loving" dad after he was involved in a fight with friends of Mark Wright at V Festival. Dani, 20, attended the music event on Saturday with Danny and mum Joanne Mas - but was left in tears after witnessing the bust-up, which left Danny with a black eye.

"My dad is the strongest person I know, he isn't a fighter," Dani, 20, said in her message, adding that just because her father "plays good acting roles as a hard man does not mean he is that in real life".

She told her followers: "My heart is broken as I witnessed the whole thing. My dad is such a sensitive loving person who wouldn't hurt a fly. 5 on 1 is never fair."

Dani's comments come after mum Joanne said that Mark's friends had "ganged up on him" at the festival. Speaking to the Mirror, Joanne – who is set to marry the EastEnders actor in two weeks – revealed how shaken up she was by Saturday's incident.

"How could Mark Wright's friend do that to my Danny in front of my little girl? We are here on a family trip and this happens," she said.

Joanne Mas has said that the group "ganged up" on her future husband

"Danny is not an aggressive person, he wouldn't have wanted to fight anyone. They've ganged up on him. I can't believe they've done this."

On Sunday, Mark took to Twitter to categorically deny reports that he was personally involved in the incident. The 29-year-old posted a clearly-worded message on Twitter, hours after the claims originally surfaced, saying: "Seen some stories online today about v festival. I would like to confirm that I personally wasn't involved in any physical confrontation."

Less than 24 hours later, Danny, 39, responded to Mark's statement on Twitter. "No. True. Where was ya??" he wrote. "Do you wanna declare who ya snakey 2 Bob mates are?? Especially the one squaring up to my Dani."

Danny has now responded to Mark's tweet about the incident

Danny then posted a picture of Mark and his mates taken at the festival, writing: "Friends eh. How to ruin ya pals career before it had even started. Legends. Other than that I had a proper night. X."

Danny and Mark's long-running feud reignited on Twitter last week when it was claimed that Mark had slapped Danny at a charity football match.

The spat began when Danny commented on Mark's radio job and his recent ad campaign, writing: "My worst nightmare would be listening to Heart FM while eating an Oykos yoghurt…"

Josh Wright, Mark's brother, responded by telling the actor he "must still be hurting from when Mark gave you a slap in the changing room that day".

Danny then further shed light on the incident, writing: "At a charity football match 4 terminally ill children then run behind his dad. What a geezer. My bird hits harder."
