A couple who have previously been compared to Friends characters Ross and Rachel got engaged at Comedy Central's FriendsFest on Monday. Krunal Desai said he thought the event, hosted at London's Haggerston Park, was the perfect place to pop the question to his Friends-obsessed girlfriend Radha Patel.
The surprise proposal took place in the iconic setting of Monica and Rachel's apartment – creating a romantic scene to rival the moment Monica and Chandler got engaged.

Speaking after the proposal, Krunal said "We both absolutely love Friends, and Radha can't go to sleep without watching the show. We even had a short break in our relationship, leading people to call us the real life Ross and Rachel.
"When I saw FriendsFest was returning I knew this would be the perfect setting to ask her to marry me."
The couple, who have been dating for 11 years, celebrated the moment amongst recreated sets from the iconic sitcom including Central Perk café, the Vegas Chapel of Love and Chandler and Joey's apartment.

It was a particularly special moment for Radha, who said nothing would beat her boyfriend's romantic surprise.
"When I first saw the apartment I actually thought that this would be the perfect place to be proposed to," she said. "Nothing could top this proposal, it was awesome. As Phoebe would say, he's my lobster!"
FriendsFest is a celebration of all things Friends and fans will be treated to all the best sets from last year’s award winning event, with other highlights of the six-week touring event including Smelly Cat Karaoke and Chick and Duck cocktail bar.
