Lindsay Lohan has had a turbulent few months where her romance with Russian businessman Egor Tarabasov is concerned. And while she is now focusing on life as a singleton, the actress has reached out to her former fiancé for an apology.
Taking to her social media sites on Wednesday, the 30-year-old actress shared a racy throwback image of herself with the hashtags, #noboyfriend and #stillneedimsorry.
Lindsay Lohan and Egor Tarabasov split in July
The candid post comes weeks after she publicly accused her 23-year-old partner of being unfaithful and suggested she could be pregnant in a series of since-deleted messages.
Since her public outburst, Lindsay has reassured fans she is fine by sharing various idyllic snaps from her European summer holiday.
"I am sorry that I've exposed certain private matters recently," she wrote alongside an image. "I was acting out of fear and sadness… We all make mistakes. Sadly mine have always been so public.
The couple became engaged in April, just eight months into the relationship
"I have done a lot of soul searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have."
Lindsay – who announced her engagement to the handsome millionaire in April after eight months of dating – then discussed the pressures of trying to lead a private life.
"Social media comes with the territory of the business and the world we now live in," she added. "My intentions were not meant to send mixed messages.
The actress is currently on holiday with friends
"Maybe things can be fixed… Maybe not… I hope they can. But I am 30 years old and I deserve a #GENTLEgiant. Life is about love and light. Not anger. Thank you to those who stand by my side."
Reports of a split first came out in July after pictures of the pair having a heated argument on a beach in Mykonos surfaced.
But shortly after the fight, the Hollywood star was still seen wearing her engagement ring, which was given to her by Egor – who is the son of construction firm owner Dmitry Tarabasov.
Lindsay Lohan has been living in London since 2015
"I haven't taken it off, even after all this," she told Daily Mail. "The truth is, I wanted to make things work, but now I'm not sure that I can."
"I need closure," she continued. "I genuinely fell in love with him, but he broke my trust and made me feel unsafe. I know I'm not an angel, but I've tried to fix things. It's down to him now.”
