Hugh Jackman was a pillar of support to his wife Deborra-Lee Furness as the couple attended the funeral of Deborra's mum on Thursday. The actor was pictured comforting his wife of 20 years outside St John's Anglican Church in Toorak, Melbourne as they said their final goodbyes to Fay Duncan.

Fay, a determined charity campaigner, sadly passed away on Sunday at her home in Mount Eliza in Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, Australia. The 81-year-old had fought a long battle with an illness.

Dressed in a black suit and wearing sunglasses, Hugh embraced his wife as they emerged from the church, walking alongside the white coffin.

"She had an incredible gift for always being right…. which must have been a true burden for her as she was also incredibly patient with us mere mortals. Fay, I love you more than words can express."
