Brad Pitt recently made a solo visit to Croatia seemingly to soak up the sunshine and take in the local sights. But it has been revealed that the Hollywood star had another motivation for his trip. The 52-year-old travelled to Sibenik to meet with business partners to discuss a possible $1.5 billion real estate project on the Adriatic coast.
The star met with acclaimed architect Nikola Basic and investors to see the site of a new development in Zablace that would include luxury villas, a golf course, shops and a flagship hotel. The proposed plans call for the land and an existing marina site to be totally transformed into a modern, ecologically-responsible resort that will also feature schools and a clinic.

It truly was a flying visit as Brad spent just one night in Croatia, before jumping on a private plane and heading back to be with his family. He stayed at the D-Resort in Sibenik, where he posed for a photo with staff which later appeared on the hotel's Facebook page, with the caption: "We are very happy to have one of the most renowned actors in the world as our guest."
Brad and his wife Angelina Jolie just recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary, and they do so in a low-key fashion, reportedly enjoying an intimate evening together at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA. "It was just the two of them," an onlooker told Us Weekly. "They had dinner and spent the night, and that was it. They left the next day."

Brad and Angelina married in August 2014 in a romantic ceremony at their vineyard property in the south of France - as featured exclusively in HELLO! magazine. It was an intimate affair; the couple's six children all took on important roles on the day, from helping write the wedding vows to their drawings adorning Angelina's Versace wedding gown.
"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter," the happy couple said of the ceremony. "It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family."
