Danny Dyer and his wife Joanne had a dramatic start to their honeymoon when protesters brought London City Airport to a standstill on Tuesday morning. The newlyweds were set to fly to Italy for a romantic getaway, but their flight was delayed by the Black Lives Matter protests, which shut down a runway.
Although flights were cancelled, diverted or delayed until the protesters were arrested around lunchtime, Danny didn't appear too disheartened by the news. The EastEnders star posted a photo of himself and a member of airport staff smiling together on Twitter, thanking him for his assistance.

"Thank u Liam and @LondonCityAir 4 looking after me and my wife while there was murders on the runway. #honeymoon," Danny tweeted.
And it appears the couple managed to reach their destination a little later than planned, as Danny later tweeted to simply say: "Italiano."
Danny and Joanne tied the knot over the weekend, after a twenty year relationship. Joining the celebrations was their daughter Dani, who previously hinted that she was nervous to watch her mum and dad get married.

The 20-year-old tweeted a snap of herself wearing a simple white T-shirt while getting ready for the big day on Saturday, writing: "Smiley wedding tomorrow. #allsmilesround #nervous."
The actress also shared a sweet snap of her mother on the morning of her parent's nuptials, who was clad is a dressing gown with 'Bride' written in gem stones on the back.
In the lead up to the big day Danny opened up to HELLO! about his wedding in an exclusive interview, revealing how he imagined his bride would look. He said: "I have an image in my head of how I would like Jo to look. She would be in a dress with a big skirt, bare shoulders, no veil, with her hair down and quite wild, maybe with a tiara on top.
"She always looks beautiful, so whatever she wears, I know I won’t be disappointed."
