Novak Djokovic shares amusing snap of pampered son Stefan: 'Not too bad for a 22 month old'

September 7, 2016

Novak Djokovic's son Stefan may still be a few weeks away from his second birthday, but he has already had a taste of what it's like to be a professional tennis player during his time in New York.

The youngster has joined his parents in the city while Novak competes in the US Open, and appears to be learning early about the importance of rest and recovery by receiving his very own massage from his dad's team of coaches and physiotherapists.

Novak Djokovic shared an amusing photo of his son receiving a massage on Twitter

Novak posted a photo of his son receiving some pampering treatment on Twitter, showing Stefan reclining on a bed while he and three members of his team gently massage his head, hands and legs.

"Not too bad for a 22m old, ha? Tennis on TV, massage… Life is good! Love this little man so much!" Novak told fans.

Unsurprisingly the message was well received by fans, who commented on how "cute" the photo was, as well as wishing Novak luck for his match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Wednesday morning. And their wishes paid off as the 29-year-old went through to the semi-finals after his opponent was forced to quit during the game due to a knee injury.

Novak shared a photo of his son learning to ride a bike in June

Proud dad Novak regularly keeps his fans updated with the progress his son is making as he grows up, and revealed in June that Stefan had learned to ride his own bike.

Sharing a touching message in honour of the event, Novak wrote: "Parents of the world, I hear you! This is the most beautiful and the hardest but the most important job we have in life. Grateful that I can treasure these moments forever."

Novak and his wife Jelena welcomed Stefan in October 2014. The couple have taken care to keep little Stefan out of the spotlight; in the images they do share of their son, his face is always hidden from view.
