Melissa George has reportedly been hospitalised after an alleged assault by her partner of four years, Jean-David Blanc. According to Purepeople, the Australian actress, who lives in Paris with Jean-David and their two sons, turned up at a police station at around 3am on Wednesday morning with injuries to her face.
The 40-year-old star was also reportedly complaining of pain and feeling faint, and she was taken to Cochin Hospital in Paris.

"According to a statement by the actress… she was assaulted by her companion, also father of their two children," French news site M6info reported.
"The police were called last night to intervene in the centre of Paris. In shock, Melissa George had a swelling of the face and complained of pain, nausea and dizziness."
Purepeople also stated that the actress had confirmed to police that her injuries were inflicted by Jean-David. However, there are no reports of the 38-year-old entrepreneur being arrested or charged over the alleged incident.

Melissa met Jean-David, who founded AlloCine, at a BAFTA afterparty in 2011, and they started dating in 2012. The pair have two young sons together, Raphael, two and Solal, who was born in November last year. Melissa was previously married to Chilean film director Claudio Dabed, whom she divorced in 2011.
The actress recently returned to Paris from Australia, where she was filming the upcoming movie The Butterfly Tree, which is slated to premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2017.
Melissa rose to fame as a teenager on the long-running soap Home and Away, before landing reoccurring roles in Alias and Grey's Anatomy. She most recently starred as Dr Alexandra Panttiere in the NBC medical drama Heartbeat, but unfortunately the show was cancelled by the network back in May.
