Victoria Beckham has shared a funny story about being tricked by a competitive fellow mum at one of her children's sports days. The 42-year-old recounted the incident during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week, and told her host that she had initially resigned herself to losing the race due to the fact she was wearing platform shoes.
"I was at sports day, I thought it's the taking part that counts," she said. "And one of the mums said we'll run at the back together." But things took a turn once the race got underway.

"She steamed ahead! She won the race and I was at the back," Victoria said. And while she refused to reveal the identity of the competitive parent, she teased by adding: "If only you knew who it was!"
During her appearance on the show, mum-of-four Victoria also opened up about family life, in particular her talented children. "We're like a travelling circus," she joked. "We dance, we sing, we play football, do fashion."
The star revealed that daughter Harper, five, has already mastered one great challenge. "(She) loves to play with makeup and has been able to run in a pair of heels for a very long time. I'm so proud," she said.
Victoria then went on to talk about youngest son Cruz's musical abilities, after host Seth played the audience a recent video of the 11-year-old performing the Anna Kendrick track Cups.

"He's so musical," she said. "We didn't even realise he could sing. He's always the one that plays football, and he was just sitting in the back of the car one day, and he was singing, and I was like, 'Wow, you can really sing!' And then he picked up his cups, and off he went!"
