Matt and Luke Goss have announced they are reuniting for a special show at the O2 Arena. The two brothers will play the London venue on 19 August 2017 – 28 years to the day since they last played together, at Wembley Arena in 1989.

The band had eight top 10 hits – including When Will I Be Famous - and three top 20 albums between 1988 and their split in 1992.

Luke and Matt Goss have confirmed a 2017 reunion concert

"I've always wanted it to happen in my heart," Luke told reporters, including HELLO!. "But I wanted it be the right time. I didn't want to resist it anymore... This is a dream come true. I think fans deserve something that will stand up today. I'm like a big kid right now, I'm pinching myself. I'm very excited."

The brothers revealed that they have no plans to release new music ahead of the concert. "We are going to honour the songs, some of the key sounds," Luke said. "But at this stage, I don’t want to populate the show with new stuff. If it was to happen again [after that] then maybe so."

They also confirmed that original bassist Craig Logan will not be taking part in the reunion. Craig quit the band at the height of their fame, and later successfully sued the brothers for unpaid royalties. He went on to become a successful music mogul, managing the likes of Tina Turner and playing a key role in Robbie Williams' success.

The twins said he was "welcome" to return. "I'm very proud of Craig's success but we started the band in school and Bros in Matt and Luke, without question," Matt added.

In the time since the band's split, Matt has forged a successful career in the US, with a residency in Las Vegas, while his brother Luke became an actor, appearing on TV shows and movies including Hellboy II and Blade II.
