He's used to soaring through galaxies as Finn in Star Wars but back on planet Earth, John Boyega is just as much of an adrenaline junkie.

The rising star couldn't resist going on iconic rollercoaster Stealth not once, but four times, as he enjoyed a night out with friends at the launch of Thorpe Park Fright Nights.

John, 24, surprised a group of fans when he joined them on the head-spinning ride, jumping into the spare seat next to fellow theme park goer Lucy Radford.

"He was having a whale of a time doing Stealth four times in a row," Lucy told HELLO! Online.

"He was a true charmer – introducing himself and shaking my hand. He struggled to undo his seatbelt, so I had to help him and at the end he said 'it was a pleasure flying with you'... Total dreamboat!"

Alexandra Symington, who told John to "look after" her friend, added: "He was loving the eerie Thorpe Park atmosphere with his friends, who had to drag him away from doing Stealth for a fifth time!"

"He was an absolute gent," she added.

John, who shot to fame last year after starring in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was among the 75 celebrities who descended on Thorpe Park to trial the new scare mazes and rides at Fright Nights.

Models Jourdan Dunn and Neelam Gill, singer Fleur East and Made in Chelsea star Lucy Watson joined him in walking the blood red carpet.

"Zombies, aliens, I've done it all so it's just a walk in a park," said John, 24

When asked if he was scared of the zombie actors waiting to jump out at him, John said: "Zombies, aliens, I've done it all so it's just a walk in a park."

However, he admitted: "Darkness does get me because stuff starts to morph when it's dark and I'm freaked out by that... But the more fear the better."
