Janet Jackson has officially confirmed she is expecting her first child, at the age of 50.
"We thank God for our blessing", she told People as she posed for a picture with her blossoming baby bump.
The singer - the sister of the late Michael Jackson - is said to be "thrilled" with the news, with a close source telling the publication: "She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well. She actually feels very good about everything."

Janet first sparked speculation that she could be expecting a baby with her husband, businessman Wissam Al Mana in April, when she announced she was postponing her Unbreakable World Tour so she could focus on "planning our family".
"I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour," she told fans in a video clip.
"Please, if you can, try and understand it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

Janet and Wissam tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2012, but they didn't confirm the news until early the following year.
Dismissing reports that they were planning an "extravagant wedding", Janet revealed: "Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children's charities."
