All bets are back on! Bookmakers are now offering odds on the gender of Cheryl and Liam Payne's future baby, and whether the couple are expecting twins. They are also taking bets on what they will name their firstborn, with Alice favourite for a little girl, and Alfie favourite for a little boy – as we previously revealed on HELLO! Online.

William Hill are so certain that Cheryl and Liam are expecting that they have suspended betting on a pregnancy announcement. However, they are offering odds of 5/6 each on the genders, with twins at 33/1.

They also have it at 9/4 that the pair will get engaged before the end of the year, and 6/4 that they will marry by the end of 2017.

"We are almost certain that the couple are expecting and we are now accepting bets on whether there will be a boy or girl and what they will be called," William Hill spokesperson Joe Crilly confirmed.

Other popular name choices include those of Liam's One Direction bandmates – Harry stands at 10/1, with Zayn at 20/1 and Niall 25/1.

The most popular names currently are Alfie and Alice

Alfie, which Cheryl previously revealed to be her favourite moniker, has odds of 7/1, with Rickie at 10/1.

Cheryl's former bandmates also get a mention. Nadine has odds of 16/1, with 25/1 for Sarah, Kimberley and Nicola.

Cheryl, 33, and 23-year-old Liam – who went public with their romance in February – have so far made no comment on the ever-increasing baby rumours.

They made a rare appearance together on Monday when they stepped out for a romantic dinner date in London – and managed to further fuel the baby rumours, with fans convinced they could see a bump through Cheryl's loose clothing.
