It's been almost a week since Eamonn Holmes bowed out of his presenting gig from Sky News' Sunrise breakfast show after being the main anchor for 11 years. And on Tuesday, the 56-year-old sent his fans into a social media frenzy after sharing a smouldering throwback snap of himself.

"It's amazing that with just 3 days lie in from Breakfast Telly I am beginning to see a difference in my looks," he jokingly captioned the picture.

Last week, Eamonn thanked viewers for "putting up with me" for all those years.

"It has been 11 years thank you very much for putting up with me for all that time," he said. "In that 11 years I’ve had to report on some awful news but I’ve also had to report on some really fantastic news some really uplifting news and we should have more of that. But the main thing is it’s not important who presents the news the news is the important thing, keep on watching it, keep on doing it, Sunrise and the news continues after the break in the morning."
