Cheryl has claimed her dramatic weight loss last year was caused by the "unreasonable behaviour" of her ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The couple were granted a decree nisi on Thursday morning and court papers have revealed that Cheryl, 33, blamed her ex for her deteriorating health.

She said the "stress" that Jean-Bernard put her under caused her to shed weight.

The paperwork stated: "The marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts proved being the respondent's unreasonable behaviour."

In one section Cheryl was asked: "If you consider the respondent's behaviour has affected your health, state the effect it has had."

Cheryl's response was: "It caused stress and weight loss."

Neither Cheryl nor Jean-Bernard attended the hearing at London's Central Family Court, which lasted just a matter of minutes.

Cheryl and Liam Payne are said to be expecting a baby

Cheryl and Liam have set tongues wagging about a possible pregnancy

Cheryl, who is rumoured to pregnant with One Direction star Liam Payne's baby, married the French businessman in a secret ceremony in Mustique in July 2014 after three months of dating.

Their relationship ended in January – it was previously claimed the former Girls Aloud singer waited until last year's X Factor was over to file for divorce from her husband, officially splitting on their secret two-year anniversary.

A source told The Sun on Sunday that Cheryl is "delighted" to finally leave the marriage behind her and move on with her new life.

"This has been the result of months of negotiations," the insider said. "After months of debate Cheryl is really relieved the terms have been finally agreed by both sides."
