Liam Payne has shared a beautiful sunset photo just days after his partner Cheryl was granted a divorce from her ex-husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The One Direction band member, 23, was dressed down in jeans, a black hoody and trainers as he enjoyed a relaxed evening by the sea in Los Angeles, where he's currently working on his solo music efforts. In the photo, the star is posing on a pier as the sun sets, and captioned: "no place like it," accompanied by a sunset emoji.

Liam shared a snap of the sunset

Posting the snap to his 11.5 million Instagram followers, fans were quick to praise the artistic picture with one writing: "Beautiful picture Liam."

"Want to be there with you," another cheekily added.

The snap was posted just days after his partner Cheryl's representative confirmed that the star had finalised her divorce from her ex-husband Jean-Bernard.

In a statement to HELLO! Online, they said: "Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini have today obtained Decree Nisi in their divorce proceedings. No further comment will be made and they ask for their privacy to be respected."

Liam and Cheryl have been dating since early 2016

The former X Factor judge finally broke her silence on Twitter shortly after she was granted the divorce to ask the girl band Little Mix for a copy of their upcoming new album, Glory Days, writing: "Can I get a copy of Glory days before everyone else? Pal perks???"

Speculation is currently rife that the 33-year-old singer is pregnant with her first child with Liam, particularly after #CongratsLiam trended on Twitter. Although fans were originally congratulating the singer for his solo record deal, many fans of the couple were confused, believing that he was being congratulated for becoming a father.

One fan joked: "That moment when you come on twitter, then you read #CongratsLiam and think @LiamPayne confirmed he's gonna be a dad."
