Mariah Carey has broken her social media silence following reports of her split from fiancé James Packer. On Sunday, the star took to Instagram to share a photograph of herself hugging a friend, posting a defiant message alongside. "#realfriends who don't read Woman's Day #wedontknowyou. We love you #Australianlambs," she wrote.
The message refers to a recent article published by the magazine, which claimed that the singer's manager friend Stella Bulochnikov – who appears in the picture with Mariah – came between the couple, and contributed to their split.

A source had told the publication that Australian billionaire James "can't stand" Mariah's friendship with Stella, adding: "He cannot tolerate [Stella's] dictator style. She's a constant in their lives and can be very abrasive. He can't cop her at all."
It comes after Mariah's rep issued a response to increasing reports that the superstar had split from James, confirming that the couple had fallen out during a holiday in Greece in September, and haven't spoken since.
Mariah and James announced their engagement in January after a whirlwind romance
"The fight was not because of any cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah. James is one of the most successful businessmen in the world," the spokesperson said.
"They are trying to work it out. Right now, they are not sure if they will stay together. They are discussing it, and plan to release an official statement together about their future."
On Thursday, Mariah was seen enjoying an evening out at Nobu with a group of friends, and was again spotted out on Saturday night. Onlookers noted that the singer had swapped hands and was wearing her 35-carat diamond engagement ring on her right ring finger.
Mariah and James got engaged in January, when he popped the question in her hometown of New York, just a few months after they went public with their romance.
