Cheryl has urged the media to report "the truth" following her much-talked about appearance on The One Show on Wednesday evening. Fans had tuned in in their droves to catch a glimpse of Cheryl as she took part in her very first TV segment since those pregnancy rumours surfaced, with many convinced they could see a bump under her clothing.

But it wasn't the continuous baby reports on Cheryl's mind when she took to Instagram on Thursday morning. Instead the star slated reports that she had sworn during her appearance on the programme.

Cheryl took part in a special episode of The One Show to talk about her new role at Childline. The 33-year-old has been named as the new face of the charity as it celebrates its 30th anniversary, and she sat down to discuss its new campaign, along with Childline founder, Dame Esther Rantzen.

Of course, her 'bump' quickly became a major topic of conversation on Twitter, with fans speculating that Cheryl seemed to be going to great lengths to hide her stomach.

Some fans speculated that Cheryl was attempting to hide her 'bump' during the TV segment

"Cheryl keeps hiding her tummy definitely a bump there come on girl show it off!" wrote one exasperated viewer, while another commented: "Cheryl is definitely pregnant, sitting very still on the one show."

Some even suggested that One Show presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones were in on the secret. "Alex keeps looking at Cheryl's bump #theoneshow announce the happy news," tweeted one fan. "Matt and Alex desperately trying not to mention Cheryl's bump... #TheOneShow," joked another.
