As the niece of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, Lady Kitty Spencer is no doubt well accustomed to royal ways and living a lavish lifestyle. But in a new interview, the 25-year-old has revealed that her privileged upbringing has left her questioning what to do in the future.

The British socialite, who is an ambassador for homeless charity Centrepoint, went on to claim she "envies" some of the young homeless people the charity supports.

"They know exactly what they want to do and what their talents are," she told The Times. "So for that I envy them. I do battle with what it is that I really want to set my mind to."

Lady Kitty Spencer has claimed she envies homeless people

Kitty, whose father Charles Spencer is the late Princess Diana's brother, currently works for the military charity Give Us Time as well as Centrepoint. She is set to spend a night on the streets next month for Centrepoint's annual sleep out with a group of friends – something her cousin Prince William did in 2009.

Following her parents' divorce in 1997, the young socialite moved to South Africa at a young age with her siblings in order to shun the spotlight. Her father moved back to the UK to take charge of the family's Althorp estate.

Speaking about her parents' split, Kitty recently told Vanity Fair: "I've never had to sacrifice one or the other because my mother's in South Africa and my father's [in London], so I've always gone between the two."

"Now, I love being in London and it makes sense to be here, and it's a really exciting place to be in your 20s. South Africa's such an amazing place to grow up and have a childhood but, right now, I... really wanted a big city."

"Obviously, I've always felt tied to London and I've always felt British and a lot of my family's here, too, so it was a logical step, one I knew I was always going to take," she added.
