Jean-Christophe, who runs the Novelli Academy Cookery School, has postponed most of his work and appearances to be with his family for the next couple of weeks.
Last month he told HELLO! of his joy of being a father for the fourth time.
A spokesperson for the chef, said: "Jean-Christophe's priority at this time is supporting his family as they deal with this devastating news, it is still very early days but they remain positive and believe the NHS experts are doing everything possible.
"Jean has had to postpone all his immediate work over the next two weeks to be with his baby and support his family but is grateful for the understanding and support during this very difficult time."
Neuroblastoma is a cancer of the neural crest cells - specialised nerve cells involved in the development of the nervous system and other tissues. Fewer than 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year, most of them under five years of age.
Neuroblastoma is the second most common solid tumour in childhood, and it makes up eight per cent of the total number of children's cancers.
