Benedict Cumberbatch hosted the popular US show Saturday Night Live over the weekend, where show cast member Beck Bennett perfectly explained why the Dr Strange actor has so many fans.
In a sketch titled 'Why is Benedict Cumberbatch hot?' Beck attempted to have two fellow cast members choose him over the Sherlock star by trying to explain why he was the better man.

In the final part of the sketch, he is comparing a photo of himself next to Benedict when the star interrupts to compliment him on his picture, saying: "Look Beck, I know it's not my turn, but I would say of those two photos you are the hotter one.
"Yeah, I look ridiculously goofy in mine and you're in shape and you look very handsome in yours… you have nice abs and your skin looks good and smooth and even and you're also funny and charming and super nice until this sketch, but you know, I've enjoyed hanging out with you this week and I hope we can do it again!"

Of course, the star's charm eventually works on Beck himself, who drops all doubt about Benedict's appeal after the compliment, gushing: "Oh Benny!" as the audience laughed.
"Wow! You are striking and charming and when you look at me I feel truly seen," he continued. "Yes, yes I get why he's hot! I won my own game!"
Fans on Twitter began discussing the hilarious segment of the show, with one writing: "The "Why is Benedict Cumberbatch Hot?" sketch on #SNL is killing me right now. I've had to explain this to so many people."
