David Foster has opened up about how his friend Michael Bublé is coping with his three-year-old son Noah's cancer diagnosis.

David said he was sure that Michael will not "sing again until his child is well" and that the Feeling Good crooner is living in a "huge bubble" right now.

"When this happens, everything shuts down around you," said David. "You go inside your little bubble and I don't think he's looking at social media. I'm sure he feels the love from millions of people."

He added to Entertainment Tonight Canada: "He's got good doctors around him. We will hope and pray for a good outcome, which I believe that they will have.

"He's a good man. He's got a lot of good karma coming his way. He's done a lot of good to a lot of people."

David's update comes shortly after an Argentinean magazine reported that little Noah is battling liver cancer. Daniela Lopilato – the sister of Michael's wife Luisana Lopilato – revealed that the youngster is already undergoing chemotherapy.

"If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah," Daniela told Gente. "Cancer is a horrible illness, but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this. We know he will.

"The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it's got to be done. They say that children are often strong enough to withstand chemotherapy… and my nephew is a warrior."

According to the publication, Noah was diagnosed on 1 November when medics carried out a liver biopsy, following an examination at a clinic in Buenos Aires. It's understood that his chemotherapy treatment will last four months.

Michael, 41, and Luisana, 29, announced the sad news in a Facebook statement last week, just two days after the diagnosis.

The singer has already cancelled his performance at the BBC Music Awards scheduled for 12 December, and it's likely that he will bow out of his hosting duties at the BRITs in February.
