Ricky Martin is engaged to his partner Jwan Yosef after a one-year relationship.
The Livin' La Vida Loca singer revealed the happy news during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, where he proudly showed off his engagement ring.

Ricky explained that he had met the artist through his conceptual paintings a year ago, and they quickly fell in love.
"I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original. And I contacted him and then I collected him," Ricky told Ellen, adding: "And we just got engaged."
The Puerto Rican entertainer revealed that it was him who had popped the question, but his nerves meant it didn't all go to plan.
The couple first met in 2015
"I proposed. I was really nervous, but I got on my knees and I took out the little, not a box, I just had them in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, 'Will you marry me?' I said, 'I got you something!'" Ricky explained.
"Bad! And then he was like, 'Yes?' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you,' and he was like, 'what is the question?' 'Would you marry me?' That's it… It was very beautiful. And then like 30 minutes after, I said, 'Wait, did you say yes?' Yes, he said yes."
Ricky also said Jwan was excited to become a stepfather to his eight-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino.

"They love each other! It's been perfect, Ellen. It's been very special," he said.
Jwan and Ricky made their red carpet debut in Sao Paolo in April. The 44-year-old was previously in a five-year relationship with stockbroker Carlos Gonzalez, but they split in January 2014.
