The That 70s Show star has revealed that if he could decide, he would name his second child 'Hawkeye'. Chatting to Conan O'Brian on his talk show, the 38-year-old actor said: "There was a rallying cry form a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye."
Mila and Ashton share one daughter, Wyatt
Ashton wanted to give his son the unusual name after Captain Benjamin Franklin 'Hawkeye' Pierce, character from 70s TV show M*A*S*H, joking: "A kid named Hawkeye, it could be M*A*S*H*-y, like he could be a doctor."
However, the star went on to reveal that his wife Mila was less than keen on the name.
"Hawkeye Kutcher, it didn't fly, it didn't cross the Mila threshold, it came to the threshold but it got knocked out," he admitted.
The happy couple are already parents to two-year-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle, and the star previously opened up about her name, telling Conan: "We were going to a Lakers game and I got name Tourette's and I just started listing off anything and everything that I saw: 'Sign! Truck! Wall! Door!' [Mila was] like, 'Shut up!' Then I was like, 'I've got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?' She goes, 'That's it.'
The proud dad revealed what he would like to name his son
We gave her the middle name Isabelle after Mila's grandfather, who was Yitzhak, so it has a little heritage."
Ashton accidentally revealed the gender of the couple's second child on the Today Show while chatting about how Wyatt was handling the idea of becoming a big sister.
"We're ok. It's really exciting," he said. "She, like, points to Mila and she's like 'baby brother' when she points to the belly and then she points to Dad and she goes 'beer.' So I think she gets there's something in the belly, but I don't quite think she knows that it's not going to be a plastic doll yet."
