Brooke Mueller – the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen – has been hospitalised after she and her twin sons were reported missing, the Utah Department of Public Safety has confirmed. According to TMZ, the 39-year-old had walked barefoot into a bar in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night with seven-year-old Bob and Max, and the family nanny. While there, Brooke and the nanny got into an altercation, causing an onlooker to call the police.
In a statement, the Salt Lake City Police Department said: "On the morning of November 16, dispatchers with the Utah Department of Public Safety received a welfare check call from a woman claiming to be the mother of Brooke Mueller.

"Troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol responded to the welfare check call and located Mueller, her two children and a nanny on Interstate 15 near Nephi, Utah.
"The children are safe and will be released to family. Mueller was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. The State Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the incident. We do not have any more information to release at this time."
In response to the incident, Charlie told TMZ: "I'm just trying to get my kids home safe. I have no other details that relate to the ongoing event."
Brooke and Charlie married in 2008, but split two years later in 2010. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Brooke had checked herself into rehab; she had previously entered a treatment centre in December 2011 following an arrest for alleged cocaine possession and assault.

Prior to this week's event, Brooke had seemed content and was "casually dating" skin care line founder Peter Thomas Roth, it has been revealed.
A source told People that Peter, who is friends with Brooke's parents, met her this past summer in Los Angeles, adding: "It has not been that long. They were casually dating. They'd gone to a few things together…It was not super serious, at all. He went out with her a handful of times."
The insider added that if the pair had called it quits, "I don't think this was at the point where anyone would be getting dumped. It wasn't that serious."
