Great British Bake Offstar Selasi Gbormittah left millions of viewers broken-hearted when he was eliminated from this year's competition, but on Friday the heartthrob made a triumphant return to television. Fans descended into a social media frenzy when the London-based baker appeared on ITV's This Morning with hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
Selasi once again put his skills to the test, this time creating a mouthwatering Christmas rum cake while discussing his time on the show, and his now-famous laidback approach. "I'm chilled all the time and it helps with life I think," he admitted.

Within minutes of the baker's appearance on the show, fans were taking to social media to share their joy at seeing Selasi on screen once again.
"Selasi from bake off is back on my tv and all is right in the world," wrote one user, while another tweeted: "Oh selasi is just such a charmer".

Having already dazzled fans during GBBO, it seems that Selasi continues to up his foodie skills, with many followers sharing their awe at his final Christmas cake. "Can Selasi bake my entire Christmas dinner X" quipped one fan.

Amidst fans' messages of praise, there was one particularly touching message for the baker, from fellow former contestant Jane Beedle. After a photo of Selasi's final rum cake was posted on social media, the GBBO finalist was quick to praise him for his latest achievement. "@selasigb @thismorning cake looks fab Selasi," she wrote, alongside an emoji of a happy face with heart-shaped eyes.
Speaking about the final, Selasi admitted that he felt he "dropped the ball" but that finalists Candice Brown, Andrew Smyth and Jane, all "deserved" to have made it that far.
"The finalists deserved to be there, I dropped the ball, I had a great time," he explained, before celebrating Candice's eventual win. "She's a deserving winner, she's always gone above and beyond, she absolutely killed it."
