After remaining off the grid since confirming her pregnancy in October, Janet Jackson has finally taken to social media to assure fans she is "doing well".

The mother-to-be tweeted to her 3.38 million followers, writing: "Hey you guys.. It's been awhile.. but I'm still listening.. I feel your love and prayers.. Thank you.. and I'm doing well." She concluded the tweet by writing "Al Hamdu lillah" an Arabic praise which translate to 'Praise be to God'. Her fans were quick to wish her well, with one replying to the tweet: "Glad you're well. Keep shinning Queen! Enjoy these well-deserved blessings on your life. We love you!" Another added: "I am glad that all is well with you. I wish nothing but the best for you. Can't wait for your bundle of joy."

Janet has been married to Wissam Al Mana since 2012

The 50-year-old confirmed she is expecting her first child with People magazine back in October, simply saying: "We thank God for our blessing". The star originally sparked speculation that she was expecting a baby after delaying her tour. In a video, she said: "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can, try and understand it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

Janet assured fans she is doing well

Her brother Jermaine revealed he wants his little sister to have a baby girl, telling People: "My sister Janet is my baby. She is fine but she's having a baby. A baby having a baby. We look at her like our little baby and now she's grown up and having a baby. I'm proud to be an uncle and I can't wait to see how this baby is going to look. I hope she's having a girl. We need more girls in this family. There are too many boys!"
