Judy Murray is one very proud mother! The 57-year-old took to her Twitter page to share a series of sweet pictures of both her sons, Andy and Jamie, after they ended the year at the top of the world rankings in tennis.

To celebrate her sons' incredible achievements, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant posted various flashback photos of her two boys. "The way we were........," she simply captioned the candid images. In one image, the words "Andy & Jamie Murray: Pride of Scotland, Kings of world tennis" stands out in bold.

On Sunday, Andy secured the year-end world No 1 ranking after he beat competitor Novak Djokovic in straight sets to claim his first ATP World Tour Finals title at London's O2 Arena. This means the 29-year-old sportsman will keep the title for the rest of this year. Elsewhere, his elder brother Jamie, 30, also finished the year as one half of the world's top-ranked doubles pair after he and Bruno Soares succeeded at the ATP World Tour Finals last week.

Celebrity fans were quick to wish the tennis players their congratulations after Andy's win this weekend. J.K Rowling posted: "I'd almost forgotten what it's like when the person you really, really want to win, wins! @andy-murray." Meanwhile, former world No. 1 Roger Federer wrote: "Epic start to the year by @DjokerNole. Epic end to the year by @andy-murray, ending #1 p Congrats guys."

"My man Murray - #1. @andy-murray Congratulations," shared actor Sir Patrick Stewart, while former England football captain Gary Lineker posted: "Don't mind admitting that I love @andy-murray. In a purely sporting sense, of course, but it is heartfelt."

World marathon record holder Paula Radcliffe tweeted: "The physicality and mental tenacity of @andy_murray is incredible. Congrats on an amazing year." Elsewhere, Lord Sugar was one of many to call for Murray to be knighted, by saying: "Come on your majesty @andy-murray for a knighthood. World number one."
