He shot to fame as a world-class football player in the late nineties before his retirement in 2013. So it was nice to see David Beckham take a backseat from the sideline as he watched the Arsenal v Paris Saint Germain game on Wednesday evening. Enjoying some time away from his hectic schedule, the 41-year-old was joined by his sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, aged 11.

Braving the winter chill, the international star cut a handsome figure in a tailored, military-inspired black coat with gold buttons which went all the way to the top. His three boys were also appropriately dressed in their winter gear as they happily chatted away during the match, which resulted in a 2-2 draw.

Clearly sharing a bond over their love for sporting activities, David recently treated his boys to an ice hockey match in Los Angeles. He took to his social media sites to share a snap from the outing, the caption was simply labelled, "Boys night at the Kings." His five-year-daughter, Harper, was no doubt relishing some alone time with her mother, Victoria.

Meanwhile, David revealed he was happy when Romeo announced he wanted to give up football to pursue his other interests - despite many parents expecting their children to follow in their footsteps. "The other day Romeo turned around to me and said he didn't want to play football anymore," the sporting ace told the Radio Times last year. "Part of me was devastated but part of me was relieved too. He's got other passions and I like that."

Since retiring from football three years ago, David has relished spending more time with his four children as well as supporting wife Victoria and her world-renowned fashion line. He has also successfully turned his career from sport to modelling and acting; the star made an appearance in close friend Guy Ritchie's action film The Man from U.N.C.L.E last year and took part in a cameo in an Only Fools and Horses sketch for Sport Relief in 2014 as well as appearing in various commercials for H&M.
