Jeff Brazier has opened up about how he and his sons pay tribute to their mum Jade Goody on Christmas Day – by visiting her grave.

The 37-year-old spoke to the Daily Record about their routine on Christmas morning, and how he eventually found a way to keep Jade's memory alive with their sons Freddie and Bobby on the special day after she passed away after a battle with cervical cancer in 2009. He said: "Christmas is the one day of the year when it's most obvious someone's missing. It had to become less about the presents. They have everything they could ever ask for, yet they're still sitting there upset and arguing. Because they’re angry and frustrated. I take them to the cemetery first thing in the morning. Then we have dealt with this, we go home and can enjoy the day. They have paid respect to their mum and they don't feel guilty about enjoying the day at home."

The dad, who raised his two sons single-handedly after Jade's death, has previously opened up about raising two boys who lost their mother aged only five and six-years-old. He told Mail Online: "I've morphed into something quite different from your average dad. I'm probably far more sensitive to their feelings and I'm far more aware of when they need emotional support. There are little side effects of my situation where you become really good at doing quite a lot on your own. I've got an ability to push myself beyond tiredness because if I don't do it, it doesn't get done."

The life coach has been in a relationship with Kate Dwyer since 2014, who also spoke about her relationship with his two sons. Posting a photo of a drawing which showed herself and Jeff as superheroes, she wrote: "I would be lying if I said that there isn't occasions when living full time with someone else's (teenage) children is both challenging and overwhelming, but then one of them does something like this and it all makes sense."
