Sam Quek has been winning over the public during her time on I'm A Celebrity, but no viewer has been more captivated than boyfriend Tom Mairs, who has revealed he is "unbelievably proud" of the Olympian's success on the show so far.
"I'm unbelievably proud of Sam," he said during an appearance on Extra Camp. "The thing about Sam is she's gone into the jungle with some problems the other celebrities don't have. She's not used to being on camera all the time or mic packs and those sort of things, so to see her flourishing, how she's coming across, so positive, and how well she's doing in trials is just unbelievable. I'm so proud of her, the whole family is so proud of her!"

You may recognise Tom from the reality TV show, which sees millionaires going undercover in deprived areas of Britain to find someone they can help financially. The British heartthrob starred on the show in 2010 – and to this day he is still the series' youngest ever participant.
He has been dating Sam for three years
The pair met in a bar during a night out at Liverpool, and have been inseparable ever since. It was meant to be – they had both attended the same school but had never met before because they were in different year groups.

"I told her I would follow her whole-heartedly," Tom told The Express during the Olympic games. He was spotted cheering Sam on in the crowds, and made quite the impression during the semi-finals kitted out in a Union Jack patterned suit and hat, banging on a drum as he supported his girlfriend.

The entrepreneur made a return to television earlier this year, this time teaming up with Sam to compete on the antiques game show, a series they would watch together on Skype when they were apart. They were triumphant when they competed – and used their winnings to buy hockey sticks, Team GB hats and flags which they handed out in Rio when Sam headed to the Olympics.
He owns a property company
Tom founded Liverpool-based Antona Student Properties in 2008 after graduating from the University of Liverpool. He initially rented one five-bedroomed house to his friends, but nowadays the business has flourished to be one of the largest independently owned property providers in North West England.
