Kanye West has checked out of hospital after being treated for exhaustion.
The rapper was admitted to the UCLA Medical Centre on 22 November after cancelling the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo tour. His mother-in-law Kris Jenner revealed that the star simply "needs to rest" and was suffering from exhaustion. Speaking to Extra magazine, she said: "He's exhausted. He's just really tired. He's had a gruelling tour and it's been a grind."
Kanye had worried fans at one of his concerts
Fans had grown increasingly concerned about the Grammy Award-winning artist's behaviour in the days leading up to his hospitalisation after he left a performance after only three songs before launching into a long rant where he criticised Jay Z, Beyonce, Mark Zuckerberg and Hillary Clinton. However, despite reports that Kanye was taken to hospital involuntarily, the star went to hospital under the advice of his physician, with one source confirming that the star "went freely" while his wife Kim Kardashian cancelled an appearance at the 2016 Angel Ball in New York to be by his side.
Kim has supported Kanye throughout his hospital stay
A source told People magazine that the father-of-two had been struggling during his tour, and that it had begun to take a toll on his marriage to Kim Kardashian. "The last few months have been difficult for their marriage," the insider revealed. "They bicker a lot and things are not great." Famous friends of the Heartless rapper have reached out in support, with Cheryl among those to wish him well. Taking to Twitter, she wrote: "It's not nice to hear of anybody struggling with their mental health. Wishing Kanye a speedy and healthy recovery." Other supporters included singer Janelle Monae, who wrote: "Praying for Kanye. Praying he has the right energy surrounding him during this time. Sending peace and love."
