Jesy Nelson was at smiles at Saturday night's Jingle Bell Ball despite the fact that she and fiance Jake Roche have recently ended their engagement.
Capital FM's musical extravaganza marked the start of the festive season this weekend with a two-night event at London's O2 arena. Hosted across Saturday and Sunday night, Little Mix, Shawn Mendes, Craig David, DNCE, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goudling were among the music stars who thrilled audiences as they took to the stage for the annual Christmas event.
And despite the fact that she's still recovering from her recent split, Little Mix's Jesy was in good spirits - even offering others advice on how to cope with a broken heart during her red carpet interviews.
"You have to go through the stages of just crying it out," she said. "Be around friends and having that support and then you get yourself out and mingle."
Shawn Mendes was also having a blast, having jetted in especially for the occasion. And judging by the backstage Instagram posts, the Canadian singer enjoyed every moment of mixing with his fellow stars.
"You sounded incredible man!!" he wrote in response to a snap of himself with former X Factor star James Arthur. The feeling was clearly mutual: "The nicest dude in the world," responded James.
Ellie Goulding sent the crowd wild with her upbeat performance (and showed off her impressive abs on the red carpet) while DNCE and Calvin Harris had the entire audience up and dancing throughout their sets.
But by Monday morning, poor Ellie (who serenaded Prince William and Duchess Kate on their wedding night) was feeling a little worse for wear. Sharing a photograph of her bed, and her legs in pyjamas, Ellie wished her followers a happy morning "from my bronchitis lair."
Get well soon Ellie!
