After winning the nation's heart with her infectious personality on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about her teenage bullying. The 26-year-recounted her experience in a candid interview with The Sun, shortly after winning the ITV show.
The Gogglebox star, who was bullied from the age of 12, confessed she "didn't have the best time" and "didn't like life" as a result. "The way the school dealt with [the bullying] was that, 10 minutes before the end of the day, I was allowed to leave early so I didn't get beat up," she revealed.

Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about her struggle with bullying at school
"I would just walk around Asda's car park until three o'clock or up until the time I was meant to come home. I just felt so embarrassed to tell my mum and dad." She explained how she kept the bullying a secret from her parents, saying "[If I] hadn't had those experiences at school, then I probably wouldn't be here. If I had just tried to fit in, I wouldn't be the weirdo that I am now."
Scarlett suffers from facial paralysis due to her condition with Bell's palsy, which the popular TV personality developed after she was hit by a car when she was 11 years old. "I smashed my teeth and had all the nerves taken out, so I had a black tooth as well as a monobrow, and I was a little bit chubby, and then half my face was on the slide," she further explained.
"If I had just tried to fit in, I wouldn't be the weirdo that I am now," she said
The Channel 4 star was declared the winner of I'm A Celebrity on Sunday night. Talking about her achievement with hosts Ant and Dec, Scarlett revealed she would love to experience her time on the show all over again. "I might be the only person who ever says this, but I wish I could do it all again," she said. "It's just amazing. I've never been so happy, which is weird because I hate camping! I'm not going to miss sleeping in a hammock, but I'm going to miss waking up and hearing everyone chatting. It's just been amazing."
"It's been a massive learning curve; I feel like I need to have more confidence in myself because I doubt myself constantly. Doing the trials and stuff, I feel like a much more confidant person coming on here. I didn't expect it to have any life effects on me, I just thought it was going to be really fun."
