It's safe to say that Ryan Gosling loves being a family man. The Golden Globe-nominated actor gushes about his "dream family" in the January issue of GQ, calling his longtime love Eva Mendes a "dream mother" and describing their daughters Esmeralda, 2 and eight-month-old Amada as "dream babies."
He adds: "It’s like a dream that I’m having right now. I’m dreaming it all."
This isn't the first time that the La La Land star has opened up about fatherhood. Earlier this month, the 36-year-old appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he talked about celebrating Christmas with his little ones. "[Esmeralda] was a little too young last year... I don't think she understands that you can ask for something just yet. It's a real sweet spot, where you give her anything, you know?"
Both Ryan and Eva have worked hard to keep their daughters out of the public eye to protect their privacy and to ensure that they have a normal childhood. Being a good parent is something the London, Ont.-native takes very seriously. Speaking to GQ, the actor said, "When you meet your kids you realise that they deserve great parents. And then you have your marching orders and you have to try and become the person that they deserve.”
