Celine Dion is a busy woman, but that didn't stop her from finding time to send her seasons greetings to all her loyal fans. The star posted a virtual Christmas card onto her Facebook page on Friday, wishing everyone a Happy Christmas. But that wasn't all. The big hearted singer made sure to treat everyone to a festive playlist, complete with a diverse range of Xmas songs to get everyone in the mood for the holidays.
Looking to the camera, Celine said: "Hello everyone. My family and I would like to wish you the very best for the holidays. I have put together a list of some of my favourite holiday songs which I hope you will enjoy as you take some time to share this magical season with your loved ones".
The Facebook message then links fans to the music list, which is accessible on a variety of platforms including iTunes, Spotify and YouTube. Songs chosen by the star include I'll Be Home For Christmas by Meghan Trainor, John Lennon's Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Michael Buble. The list would of course not be complete without some of Celine's very own renditions of festive classics, such as O Holy Night and Ava Maria.
Celine performed for her fans live from her studio with a rendition of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson'sWinter Song.
This wasn't the first time Celine had surprised her fans this month. On 1 December, she streamed live on Facebook from her studio, telling fans: "Since we're here in the studio tonight, I thought of offering you my version of one of my favourite holiday songs", adding, "I hope you like it. Happy Holidays. Be blessed and be safe. I love you all."
The mum-of-three then went on to perform her own rendition of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson'sWinter Song.
Celine and her boys' will be spending their first Christmas without René Angélil
Christmas will no doubt be a bitter-sweet time for Celine, who will be celebrating the big day with her sons' for the first time without her late husband, René Angélil. René sadly passed away in January, after battling throat cancer. Talking to the New York Post, Celine spoke about how she will be making sure to still celebrate Christmas and make memories with 15-year-old René-Charles, and six-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.
"I can’t believe it’s going to be a year that my husband passed, it’s kind of a bittersweet moment and at the same time we need to really make the holidays really happy," she said.
