X Factor winner Matt Terry has missed out on entering number one in the charts with his single When Christmas Comes Around, and is currently at number three behind Clean Bandit and Louis Tomlinson.
This is the third week that Clean Bandit have been number one with their hit single Rockabye, while Louis Tomlinson's Just Hold On took second place at number two. Fans have praised the singer's success with the song so far, which was written by Ed Sheeran, since it was only released last Sunday following Matt's X Factor win.

One wrote: "Full credit to Matt Terry though. When Christmas Comes Around wasn't released until late Sunday, had just four days to make up ground." Another fan added: "Despite being the sales champion all week X Factor 2016 winner Matt Terry is only Number 3 with his winner's song. Not enough streams." The 23-year-old's chart entry was an improvement from last year's winner Louisa Johnson, whose rendition of Bob Dylan's Forever Young peaked at number nine.
Matt took to Instagram to share his excitement over the news. Posting a smiling selfie, he wrote: "What's everyone up to this weekend? This is unreal..#whenchristmascomesaround is number 3 in the charts and number 1 on iTunes!" The singer also opened up about his happiness about the single following his X Factor win by sharing a snap of the single cover, writing: "I CANNOT DESCRIBE TO ALL OF YOU HOW I FEEL RIGHT NOW. I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU GUYS! Since I can remember this has been my dream and woaaaahhhh my family, friends and all of you guys have helped me make it a reality… Feeling like the luckiest guy right now. Truly cannot believe this is happening. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL."
