The search is on for Hello!’s Heroine of 2016 and you can help decide on a winner in this exclusive poll. Vote from our list of inspirational women who have appeared on Hello!’s  pages and on our website throughout the year. They may have sprinkled star quality, achieved something great, supported charities or simply stolen our hearts in 2016. The woman from our shortlist who gets the most votes will be crowned Hello!’s Heroine of 2016.

Our Royal Hero is The Queen, the nation’s favourite royal, who turned 90 this year and continues to work tirelessly.

The Duchess of Cambridge is our Hero Mum. Mother to Prince George, three, and 19-month-old Princess Charlotte, she is also a huge support to charitable causes, with a particular passion for mental health issues.

Our International Hero is US First Lady Michelle Obama – an inspiration, style icon and political force rolled into one.

The Great British Bake-off’s Mary Berry is our TV Hero – one of our favourite on-screen personalities who inspired us to get into the kitchen. This year’s final of the BBC1 show pulled in 14.5 million viewers, the highest in its seven-year history, and while Mary decided not to move with it to Channel 4, she does feature in the BBC festive special on Christmas Day.

Four-times Olympic gold medallist Laura Trott was our golden girl at Rio and 2016 was her year in more ways than one, with her marrying her Team GB team-mate Jason Kenny too, so she is our Sporting Hero.

Our Fashion Hero, American Supermodel Gigi Hadid has certainly added some glamour to 2016 and ended the year on a high by scooping the International Model award at the recent Fashion Awards, held by the British Fashion Council.

Meanwhile our Literary Hero is Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who not only thrilled us with her latest film Fantastic Beasts, but donates millions to research into multiple sclerosis, the disease which claimed the life of her mother.

Few artists can sell out Wembley Stadium but Adele’s popularity continues to go from strength to strength, which makes her one of the nation’s best-loved singers and our Musical Hero.

Our Charity Hero is American actress Eva Longoria, whose Global Gift Foundation supports the underprivileged and disadvantaged. She also made a beautiful bride this year when she married TV boss Jose Antonio Baston.

Finally, crusading human rights lawyer Amal Clooney is our Humanitarian Hero. George Clooney’s glamorous wife has made it her mission to support the world’s underdogs and is currently taking on terror organisation ISIS over its brutal treatment of women.

Vote below and check back in next week to find out who's the winner!
