George Michael's partner Fadi Fawaz has said that his Twitter account was hacked after shocking tweets were posted relating to the late star's death.

The tweets appeared on George's former lover's Twitter account in the early hours of Sunday, relating to the singer's death and the circumstances surrounding it. The celebrity hairstylist has since told the Mirror that he did not post the tweets himself, saying: "I am shocked with what's going on with the Twitter thing. My Twitter account has been hacked and closed. It's a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11.30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things."

Fadi claimed his Twitter account was hacked

Fadi's Twitter account was hacked just days after the post-mortem examination results were released announcing that more tests needed to be taken as the cause of death remains 'inconclusive'. Thames Valley Police confirmed the news, saying: "The cause of death is inconclusive and further tests will now be carried out. The results of these tests are unlikely to be known for several weeks. Thames Valley Police will prepare a file for the Oxfordshire coroner. Mr Michael's death is still being treated as unexplained but not suspicious."

George died on Christmas Day

The boyfriend of the former Wham! band member, who died on Christmas Day aged 53, also revealed that he didn't see the singer the night before his death as he fell asleep in his car. "I never saw him," he said. "I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night. The police know everything - that's the most important thing." Fadi, who had been in a relationship with George since 2011, revealed that the star had been looking forward to Christmas. He said: "We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don't know what happened yet… George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I. Now everything is ruined. I want people to remember him the way he was - he was a beautiful person."
